This is kind of a lame ad from Obama. What does it matter than McCain buys foreign cars? Even if it did, three of thirteen is hardly a shocking figure. This is, I'm afraid, pandering, in the worst sense of the word. My advice: turn off your targeting device and use the Force, Barack!

This and a couple others have been pretty bad. Even though Bama can claim defense against McDouche's much worse ads, thats not much of an excuse. TV politicking just brings out the worst.

I think your general star wars point is a good one. Candidates, especially ones feeling the pressure as Baratch must now be, can get boxed in and too reliant on advice from advisers. Switch 'em off from time to time. Although Obama's style is very risk-averse.

Ooh, yeah, especially the ending blatantly saying McCain won't help Michigan is pretty bad.

Well, he won't. That part's true. It's just that he won't because his policies are bad, not because he owns three FOREIGN cars. One of my favorite Yggles talking points is that you have to differentiate between ads that are "negative" in the sense that they simply attack your opponent's position, and those that say untrue or irrelevant things.
